Por mi pasión hacia HK, ciudad que he visitado en muchas ocasiones, he leido decenas de libros sobre esta urbe y aunque cada libro tiene su propia entidad, sin lugar a dudas, éste de Iris Mir, es el que más profundamente me ha cautivado. “It is really incredible how the author of this novel has managed to reflect the soul and the life of the inhabitants of this neighborhood in Hong Kong, Sham Shui Po, which is now so fashionable. Because of my passion for HK, a city that I have visited on many occasions, I have read dozens of books about this city. And although each book has its own entity, without a doubt, this one by Iris Mir, is the one that has most deeply captivated me. Behind each (fictional) character there is a story that is masterfully told and that corresponds to vital realities that have happened for years in that incredible city of Hong Kong. The author, aside, writes very well and makes reading the book very enjoyable. In my very modest opinion, although she is a Western author, she has naturally achieved a work with a lot of vision and Asian influence.”
