Photo Essay: Open Water
I grew up swimming open water in the Mediterranean. A quiet and yet temperamental sea that can both lay in stillness and be ever changing. Some say our sea shapes our Mediterranean character. The beautiful mess that makes up of our Mediterranean existence, of our land, of our identity and our beloved way of life bound to a sea that is called home by 22 nations and 3 continents.
Just a few Go Pro shots of my recent open water swimming experiences. Open water swimming is a space where to get lost, so most of my memories remain within me and kept away from any camera. Re-telling and remembering them, I guess, is the only way to keep them alive.
